This programme provides career information and support to wahine, single Māori mothers, older Māori women wishing to return to work or wanting more learning opportunities whilst working.

The HANGI (Helping Advance Nga Kai Mahi in Growth and Innovation) project aims to raise awareness among Māori employees of the value of workplace learning.

We want to give young people the guidance and support they need to get into the workforce. This programme is designed to provide our rangatahi with experienced mentors to help them gain entrance to the workforce.

Hui Taumata Workforce Development has been working in partnership with the Industry Training Federation to work on ways of changing this figure, and to get the Māori workforce into higher skilled jobs.
