There is currently an update of the Australia and New Zealand Classification of Occupations. If you are wanting to make a submission or request a new occupation be added to ANZSCO as part of this current update, Statistics NZ would appreciate the following information be made available to help in their discussions with the Australian Bureau of Statistics. Wellington Treaty settlement takes major step

In a ceremony held at Parliament today, the Port Nicholson Block Claims Team initialled a Deed of Settlement with the Crown, covering all the historical Treaty claims of Taranaki Whānui ki Te Upoko o Te Ika, Treaty Negotiations Minister Michael Cullen said. Women still paid 'significantly' less than men

By ANNA CHALMERS - The Dominion Post | Saturday, 01 December 2007.   Women  are juggling more part-time jobs, but earning significantly less than men.   The average monthly income for employed males in March 2006 was $3410, compared with $2400 for females, according to Statistics New Zealand employment data issued yesterday.
